Debbie is a military wife, mother of two and legal practitioner with over 8 years’ experience. As a lawyer, she provides pro-bono legal services to families of deceased personnel of the Nigerian Military who were killed in Action (KIA) in the war against terrorism and insurgency.
Her experience as a military wife had informed her scholarly interest and advocacy in the campaign for the rights and recognition of the role, place and support of military spouses in Nigeria which in her opinion is long overdue.
Debbie is a YALI RLC fellow, and an environmentalist. She is also passionate about helping people in her community. She has also worked in the areas of providing free legal services to victims of domestic violence and gender based violence.Â
Debbie enjoys pursuing the military spousal interests and topics, as well advocating for their recognition and support. She believes in mindfulness and support to military spouses and particularly to service personnel. She loves gardening and trying out new recipes.
